  • 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pound overripe tomatoes, cut into 1/2 inch dice with juices

  • Pinch of saffron
  • 1 1/2 pounds fettuccine
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh chives
